Ric Martin is the founding director of Ric Martin incorporated. He has 23 years post admission experience. Before establishing Ric Martin Incorporated in 2014, Ric was as a director at Dyason Incorporated and later joined Routledge Modise Incorporated (now known as Hogen Lovells) as a director.
Ric’s area of expertise is in Insurances Law where he frequently litigates on behalf of various underwriters and intermediaries in matters. He also represents various medical professionals nationwide in connection with regulatory and medical malpractice claims and has successfully represented underwrites and their insureds in respect of medical malpractice claims relating to brain injuries sustained by both adults and neonates. His experience, therefore, ranges from Professional Indemnity Insurance, All Risks, Business Interruption, Personal Insurance, Commercial Insurance, Aviation Insurance and Medical Malpractice.

Celeste’s career kickstarted at First National Bank and Saambou Bank where she gained extensive experience in Banking law. She joined Ric Martin Incorporated in 2015 and was appointed as director and chairperson in 2018.
In terms of expertise, Celeste works closely with Ric in the Insurance law Department, specifically with matters relating to Personal Injuries and Medical Malpractice, however, she has branched out to Business Rescue, Insolvency Law and Employment Law. Furthermore, she heads our Family Law Department.

Her focus area is insurance law with an emphasis on medical negligence, professional indemnity, public liability, and personal injury. With regards to medical negligence matters, Shannon has experience in both litigation and assisting medical practitioners and allied medical practitioners with complaints lodges against them at their respective regulatory bodies including the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP), and the Psychological Society of South Africa (PsySSA).

Menelisi (Mene) Ndlovu

Mene joined our team as a candidate attorney in July 2019. In 2022 he was admitted as an attorney and retained as associate. Mene specialises in insurance litigation.
Mene graduated from the University of South Africa and is currently a first-year candidate attorney. He started his journey with us as Candidate Attorney in July 2019; he is currently doing his rotation in our General Litigation and Insurance Law Department.

Juanita Kallychurn joined Ric Martin Incorporated in January 2024 as a candidate attorney. While pursuing her legal qualifications through UNISA she held a position within the marketing team at the South African National Blood Service (SANBS).
During her tenure at SANBS, she broadened her legal knowledge by serving as a Safety, Health, and Environment Employee Representative, later assuming the role of Chairperson of the Committee.
Throughout her academic career, Juanita actively participated in student leadership and initiatives aimed at uplifting socially disadvantaged students. In recent years, she has demonstrated her commitment to community service by volunteering at Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Services.
Her mission is to serve people through the law. She is passionate about leveraging the law as a tool for positive change and societal betterment.
