Join Our Team: Vacancy for Litigation Secretary

Ric Martin Incorporated is seeking to appoint a Litigation Secretary to join our team and provide direct support to the Director of the firm.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a litigation secretary.

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Proven knowledge of High Court and Magistrates’ Court Rules and Practice Directives.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

  • Ability to work on CaseLines and Court Online.

  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, MS Teams).

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Key Duties

  • Dictaphone typing.

  • Diary management.

  • File administration and record keeping.

  • Fee capturing and related documentation.

  • Preparing and filing of notices, pleadings, correspondence, and other court-related documents.


Advantageous Skills (Not Required but Beneficial)

  • Fluency in Afrikaans.

  • Experience in the administration of deceased estates.
